Deeply cringe and half baked
deeply concerning, the result of deep boredom. there are some elements which remain interesting (the idea of everyone being androginous and nonbinary) though most of it was deeply unoriginal and uninspired, aswell as originating in lazyness (i couldnt decide any of their genders ((fem or twink the ultimate question))). im only just remermbering most fo this but yeah.
from what i remember it was about two specific characters Airon (air-en) who was Caaran (car-un)(humanoid) and Plaedie (play-dee) who was Velk (huge fucking demon thing). from what i remember airon was a twinkish arsehole with a limp (guess two of the fandoms im in) and Plaedie was this shapeshifting rowan whitethorn adjacnent(STFU IM EDITING THIS AND FORGOT I SAID THAT). Both of them were such dickheads. both androginous but plaedie was more butch and airon more twinkish (aahh, the two genders, gay and gay)(please note that they are butch, not masculine, butch, as in masculine in a feminine way. im bending gender here. no straight vibes in my houshold).
the whole shtick was that the velk could be tricked into a human-demon partnership if their ribbon was stolen from them and secured to the human/caaran's body.
the velk could only transform into caaran adjacet beings when tethered to one but then their will is limited. some velk choose to put their trust into a caaran to give them more control over their bodies, some choose to go solo for freedom of their actions.
story is, airon was vounerable out in the woods on their own (not being able to fight back affectively against tethered pairs and subject to frequent muggings by untethered caaran.) and so decided to find a solo velk to trick/persuade into a partnership, just till they make it out of the woods. they see Plaedie wandering out in the woods in demon form and was like "hhhmmm >:)". one of the common tactics employed by solo velk who wish to stay untethered is to hide the ribbons (usually tied to a horn or leg) among many other ribbons. so, airon watches them for a few days, sees which ribbons they care about most, the ones they check on, and then narrows it down to two.
they take a risk.
they sneak up while they were sleepingand were on ly able to untie one ribbon beffore plaedie strted stirring. they held teh ribbonm infront fo their face. "travel with me." they said. "i need someone to walk with, i will give this back to you if you just promise to wait for me and scare away anyone who wishes to hurt me with your presence." plaedie, who hasn't spoken in many many (hey it just deleted heaps of what i just said so im repeating this >:(. ) years just nods anoyedly. if you haventn noticed yet, this is a selkie metaphor. they gain eachpothers trust and all. its cute yayaya. havent decided whether or not its a romance yet. oh yeah, Pinterest
airon is the humanoid one, i think? the only reason i remember this is that i put it as the description of my pinterest board :(. plaedie is the demon one. velk. yeah.

this is very old and horrible so you cant judge me by it. i think if i did some redesigns and cjanged some things around i could probably make this into a decent web comic. after lots of changes. heaps.
okay so the first image there, the white background black sketches was from late 2023, early 2024, the sketch of airon (decided im gonna change the names later) is from today (23/09/25) im redesigning everything. at least i might. idk. its staying in the bin for now. i always design the same charcters in different fonts. like you cant tell me thats not carlial 2.0.
okay so im doing some sketching of the charcters + some muscle studies and oh my lord. i just looked at that original sketch and D: wtf is that rat lookin' thing? ewwwwww. i need to redesign the demon things so badly, and change everythings names. ive decided this is gonna be a webcomic. even if its short and i never post it anywhere.
i need to come up with alternitive pronouns. okay. this is something i have issue with irl. i want an androginous set of pronouns that sound like the binary ones and are seperate from the plural. i completely respect people wanting to use they/them. i hate it speaking wise. i like ze/zir or xe/xir much better. because it fits better with the binary pronouns. and sometimes i wish each person had individual pronouns (not names) so that wrting could be easier. not names, not titles, not anything like that pronouns this may just be because im gay and read a whole lot of gay shit but trying to figure out whose doing what without using the names (which quickly gets repeditive) is so dificult when there are two people with the same pronouns interacting for a long time. ughhhh :(. i might make a set of different pronouns for diferent presentations in each species. like maybe six. three each. masculine, faminine and angroginous. idk how to spell that.
